ATFP bids farewell to its Executive Director Ghaith Al-Omari. Mr. Al-Omari will be joining the Washington Institute for Near East Policy as a Senior Fellow.
“My eight years at ATFP were a tremendous personal and professional experience” said, Mr. Al-Omari. “I was extremely fortunate to have been part of a team that effectively, consistently and passionately advocated for moderation, coexistence and a two-state solution as a US national security interest. I will always be proud of the work we did and the model we created.”
“More importantly”, added Mr. Al-Omari “the honor of working with outstanding, devoted colleagues is one that I will always cherish. In particular, knowing Ziad and Naila has been a unique privilege. Working with Hussein, Adil, Tala and the countless other colleagues has been a source of inspiration. As I move on to my exciting new role at the Washington Institute, I do so with the full knowledge that I have gained friends from ATFP whose wisdom and council will always be a source of strength and wisdom.”
ATFP President Ziad Asali said, "above everything else, Ghaith is a very dear friend to Naila and me. We will always have a special place for him in our hearts. He is a man of talent, integrity and unsurpassed political judgement who has served the cause of peace selflessly and consistently for decades. He has so much more to give as I am certain he will.
We wish him well as he moves to join the prestigious Washington Institute.
Farewell Ghaith! We are proud of you and of the work we have done together with our colleagues at ATFP. Our collective commitment and friedship endure."
