Thank you very much. Thank you. I would first like to thank Dr. Ziad Asali for that wonderful introduction. But more importantly, I would like to thank you for your leadership and for your commitment to this very important cause, and for your friendship and counsel over my time as Secretary of State. Thank you very much for all that you do.
Will Middle East peace talks falter again over Israeli settlement building?
Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, refused to extend a freeze on West Bank settlement construction, yet he has repeated his calls for Palestinians to participate peace talks.
After an 18-month hiatus, direct negotiations between the two camps restarted earlier this month, under the watch of Barack Obama, the US president.
Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, said on Sunday that Israel must decide between "peace or settlements".
VOA's "On the Line" had Hussein Ibish, senior fellow at ATFP, to discusses what can be done differently during this peace process to get beyond the past stalemates and achieve desirable results.
