AMMAN, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Tuesday condemned radical Israeli settlers and rabbis as they broke into the yards of Al Aqsa Mosque, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
"These are provocative acts and seek to impose a new reality on the ground in Jerusalem," Jordanian Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdul Salam Abbadi said Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the minister condemned continued Israeli excavations near Al Aqsa Mosque, saying that these are unacceptable measures that need to come to an end immediately.
The minister also condemned Israeli measures that seek to expel the Palestinians from Jerusalem, adding that these measures represent a stark violation of international laws.
The minister accused the Israeli police of allowing the radical Israelis to break into the yards of Al Aqsa Mosque, calling on Arabs and Muslims to shoulder their responsibilities to place pressure on Israel to stop these measures.
