The Israeli Army arrested 8 Palestinians in Nablus, Tuesday, who Israel claims are affiliated with Hamas Movement.
Palestinian security sources said Israeli forces arrested the former head of a charitable society in the city, Dr. abdulhaleem Al-Hanbali, after storming his house and also arrested two members of Nablus Municipality, Kholoud Al-Masri and her husband and Husam Qataloni and his son.
A Nabuls Municipality statement said Israeli forces arrested 6 members out of a staff of 15 and claim they are affiliated with Hamas.
The sources added the Israeli forces also arrested administrative board member of the General Women's Union Ms. Haneen Druzah and her son, as well as Finance Director of the Women's Union Hospital Mohyee Al-Deen Al-Saloos.
The arrests are the latest in Israeli crimes against the people of Nablus after several shops and charitable institutions were closed down recently with the pretext of being part of Hamas infrastructure.
The acts prompted official and public condemnation, and were considered an attempt by Israel to suggest the PA is incapable of upholding its responsibilities.
A delegation from the Palestine Liberation Organization visited Nablus City yesterday and marched its streets in a gesture of defiance.
The delegation stressed that the PLO would note abandon Nablus amid its current struggle.
