Efforts to find a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem have been littered with failures. So is it time to consider the one-state alternative?

The Palestinian Authority (PA) rejected the offer of Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, to freeze settlements in the occupied West Bank if the PA recognized Israel as a Jewish state.

The Arab League has agreed to give the US one month to convince Israel to renew a freeze on building settlements in order to keep the Middle East peace talks from collapsing.

On Tuesday, Leila Farsakh, a professor of the University of Massachusetts, and Hussein Ibish from the American Task Force on Palestine, a Washington, DC based group dedicated to a peaceful two-state solution discussed those issues.
